Everyday Gratitude

With the new year coming around, there’s this pressure to start fresh, go big, #newyearnewyou. I love the idea of traditions pushing people to improve themselves, but I also know this can be daunting. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, I think we can all start small with a fun exercise of replacing “I have to” with “I get to”. “I have to clean the dishes”… “I get to clean dishes because I am lucky enough to have a roof over my head and running water”. This exercise doesn’t require more time, more money, more energy.. it’s just a replacement and perspective shift that can really help ease into the new year with a brighter light. Just a reminder that you’re enough as you are and your inner peace can be achieved with small gestures like these. Baby steps!
